Wakefield Wedding of Louise & Craig

Louise, a running fanatic and Craig, an ex Royal Marine got married at The Engine Shed near Wakefield, a fantastic venue which looked stunning on the day. I headed to Louise’s house on the morning of the wedding and the girls were already under way with there hair and make up.

A fresh order of Costa coffee and champagne had everyone in the perfect mood. After my second photographer Nick had finished with Craig we both met for the ceremony in Wakefield which was a lovely ceremony including both groomsmen in full Marine dress uniform. Louise and Craig looked amazing and headed off to The Engine Shed in a classic open top Beetle.

The Engine Shed is a fantastic venue with a feature I love as a wedding photographer, a balcony which goes the whole length of the venue. This is great for shots during the speeches and the first dance and adds an extra element. The staff were really helpful on the day and were great with me and Nick.

The speeches were amazing, funny and even included a slideshow of some great images of Craig through the years. We spent the rest of the day shooting the guests and some lovely family photos outside the front of the venue before the first dance started.

Louise and Craig had a saxophone player during the first dance which was a first for me and sounded amazing. It fitted in so well for the dance and before long everybody was up on the dance floor. The rest of the night was amazing fun and I want to thank Louise and Craig for having us along for the journey and to let us tell their story.
